What to know before you get a quote
Solar for Scottish businesses and organisations
Businesses that use electricity during the working day are often well suited to rooftop or ground-mounted solar, because much of the power is used on site as it is generated. Offices, workshops, warehouses, shops, farms and public buildings across Scotland can all be assessed. A site survey looks at roof structure, orientation, shading and your daytime demand.
Adding battery storage
A commercial battery can store solar power for later in the day, help manage demand peaks and work with time-of-use tariffs. Sizing depends on your load profile, which the survey team reviews using meter data or half-hourly records where they are available.
Grid connection and approvals
Larger systems may need approval from the local distribution network operator before connection, and some sites need planning consent. We explain what applies to your site and build those steps into the programme so the timescale is realistic.
Planning work around your operations
Installation is scheduled to limit disruption to staff, customers, livestock or production. Access, scaffolding, isolation of electrics and safe working areas are agreed in advance, and the team keeps you updated throughout.
Your written proposal
You receive a written, no-obligation proposal setting out the equipment, the expected generation in kWh, the electrical work and the programme. Interest-free credit up to £30,000, subject to status. We install through MCS-certified partners.
Working with us across Scotland
We arrange surveys and installations for homes and businesses from the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway to Fife, Tayside, Aberdeenshire, the Highlands and the central belt. Our team is based in Scotland, so we understand the housing stock here, from sandstone tenements and granite terraces to harled cottages, former council homes and new builds. Weather, exposure and roof type all shape how a system is designed and fitted, and these are considered from the first conversation.
What we will and will not promise
We do not quote standard figures for every home, because results depend on your roof, your electricity use and your tariff. Instead, your written quote explains the expected generation or storage in kWh and the assumptions behind it, so you can check them or ask questions. There is no pressure to proceed and no obligation. If something would not suit your property, we will say so plainly. We install through MCS-certified partners, and the documents you receive after installation explain your warranties.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work with developers and housing providers?
Yes. We work with developers, housing associations, landlords and commercial property owners on new build systems, retrofits and planned maintenance, with a site survey and written proposal for each project.
Can several upgrades be combined in one project?
Yes. Insulation, solar panels, batteries and heat pumps can be planned together so each step supports the next and scaffolding or access is shared where possible.
Do you cover projects outside the central belt?
We cover projects across Scotland, including the Highlands, Aberdeenshire, the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway. Remote and island sites are assessed individually for access and logistics.
