What to know before you get a quote
Starting with a conversation
Every project begins with a short call or the quote form. We ask about your home, your energy bills and what you would like to achieve, whether that is cutting what you buy from the grid, using more of your own solar power or making the house warmer. There is no pressure and no obligation at this stage.
The home survey
A surveyor visits to check your roof, loft, electrics, consumer unit and where equipment would go. They look at your recent electricity use and talk through your routine, because when you use power matters as much as how much you use. The survey usually takes around an hour, and you are welcome to ask questions throughout.
Your written, no-obligation quote
After the survey you receive a written quote that sets out the equipment, the work involved, the warranties and the estimated yearly generation or storage in kWh. The assumptions are explained in plain English so you can check them. Take whatever time you need to compare options.
Ways to pay
You can pay upfront or spread the cost. Interest-free credit up to £30,000, subject to status, and the terms are set out in writing before you commit. Eligible residential installations currently carry 0% VAT until March 2027, which is shown on your quote.
Installation and aftercare
If you go ahead, the installation date is agreed with you and carried out through our MCS-certified partners. The team commissions the system, shows you how it works and leaves the paperwork with you. After installation, you can contact us with questions, and we can arrange health checks, fault finding and setting reviews when needed.
Working with us across Scotland
We arrange surveys and installations for homes and businesses from the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway to Fife, Tayside, Aberdeenshire, the Highlands and the central belt. Our team is based in Scotland, so we understand the housing stock here, from sandstone tenements and granite terraces to harled cottages, former council homes and new builds. Weather, exposure and roof type all shape how a system is designed and fitted, and these are considered from the first conversation.
What we will and will not promise
We do not quote standard figures for every home, because results depend on your roof, your electricity use and your tariff. Instead, your written quote explains the expected generation or storage in kWh and the assumptions behind it, so you can check them or ask questions. There is no pressure to proceed and no obligation. If something would not suit your property, we will say so plainly. We install through MCS-certified partners, and the documents you receive after installation explain your warranties.
